Help! My WES 7 on a VHD boots into BSOD 12F….

Blue screens certainly not nice nor really helpful!

A nasty one may appear if you apply a WIM file with an image that normally runs fine on disk to a VHD (virtual hard disk) file. The problem in this case is that one needs one special component to run from VHD, which is called “Advanced File System”. This component includes the VHD support.
BTW. This works not only with WIM files. If you include the component into an IBW configuration, you are able to build directly into a previously mounted VHD.

Have fun with VHD containers. They are easy to maintain and deploy.
